WHAT WE BELIEVE

What a church believes matters greatly. Below, you’ll find our Statement of Faith as well as some Core Values that our church adheres to.

Our church is in agreement with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.

  • The church is built on the confession that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. Convinced of this everything we do as a church is filtered through how our pursuits will magnify the gospel, the good news of salvation through belief in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

  • We believe that that Bible is the inerrant, infallible Word of God and as such is authoritative in all that it says. Because of this, we look to the Bible as our source of truth for understanding who God is, who we are, and how we are to live both as individuals and the church in this world.

  • Apart from God moving on our behalf, we can do nothing. Because of this we value prayer as an expression of our dependence on God to accomplish his will through us.

  • We believe God created us to live in community with each other. The first starts with the community of the family and extends to the community of the church. Because of this we place priority and value in gathering together as a church body for worship, fellowship, and service.

  • Jesus built His church to accomplish His mission which is to preach the gospel to the ends of the earth. As a gospel-centered church, our mission is to accomplish the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19-20a: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you…”

We believe this calls us to pursue the two fronts of mission:

  • We are called to share the gospel with those who do not yet know Jesus. In practice this looks like events as big as church outreaches and services projects or as small as one-on-one connections with friends and neighbors. The goal in every instance is to share the love of Christ with others in both word and deed.

  • We are called to equip and encourage those in the church for life of faithfulness to Jesus through the intentional ministry of the Word.
